The author of one of the biggest hits of my teen reading life, Alice, I Think, has a new book that is just as big a hit for my adult reading life. Mindful of Murder is a delightful cozy mystery that is sweetly sarcastic towards *self care.*
After my 2023 reading featured 10+ books that I started but didn’t want to finish, for various reasons, this was a wonderful addition to my 2024 reads. I already can’t wait for the sequel, A Meditation on Murder.
Next up from my holds list:
Bear Town, Frederik Backman, a recommendation.
The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store, James McBride, author of Deacon King Kong, a different kind of murder mystery, which I read in 2021 and enjoyed.
This looks awesome! And enjoy the Backman. He’s one of my favorites.
